Cleophas Oyoo Ongeng’ is a dedicated and driven professional with a strong background in information studies. With a Bachelor of Technology in Information Studies from The Technical University of Kenya, Cleophas has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, holding a Diploma in Information Studies further complements his educational qualifications.

Throughout his career, Cleophas has gained valuable experience in various library, records and Systems management roles. Currently serving as a Faculty Assistant in the School of Technology at Kenya College of Accountancy University (KCAU), he has honed his skills in managing Faculty operations and assisting users in accessing and satisfying various informational needs. Cleophas is adept at ensuring the faculty office activities are running effectively and efficiently.

His key strengths lie in his proficiency with library software, Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) and other Information Systems Management. He is well-versed in using learning management systems such as Moodle and Blackboard, enabling him to support users in their e-learning journey. His expertise extends to electronic databases and online platforms, such as EBSCOHOST, AGORA, and ProQuest E-Book, enhancing the accessibility of information for library users.

Cleophas possesses strong analytical skills, allowing him to identify areas for improvement and make valuable recommendations. With his ability to prepare statistical and written reports, he ensures effective communication of findings to stakeholders. His interpersonal and communication skills enable him to understand client needs and express them to the team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Organizational skills are another asset that Cleophas brings to the table. He excels in planning and organizing tasks, balancing his responsibilities in a timely and professional manner. His competence in Microsoft Office tools, word processing, data handling and processing, presentations, and internet usage further enhances his overall skill set.

Throughout his career, Cleophas has proven himself as a dedicated and reliable professional. His achievements include the full automation of the St. Joseph Seminary library and the digitization of AMREF-Kenya health records. These accomplishments demonstrate his commitment to leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accessibility.
